Tribal Justice Center
Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribes
The Tribal Justice Center project includes a circular tribal courtroom based on the sweat lodge inipi and cultural history of inipi. Additional space includes multiple meeting and conference rooms, court services office space, judicial offices, inmate holding and a beautiful public lobby area.
This Design-Bid-Build project was nearly $1M over budget. The project incorporated many luxury and exotic finishes that did not fit the Owner’s needs. After considerable communication and responsiveness from all sides, we were able to reach the budget to the dollar. The end product substituted exotic finishes for high-end ones that were practical and easy to maintain. We replaced EIFS with brick in all locations for a long-lasting exterior without reducing the size by an inch. Today it is the jewel of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma’s facilities.
